A remarkable day unfolded at the BNHS-SHS AVR as students from the STEM, ABM, and HUMSS strands gathered for the much-anticipated Research Defense—an important step in determining who will be recognized as Best in Research per strand.

The event showcased not only academic excellence but also the determination, preparation, and passion of every research group. Each presentation reflected months of hard work—from conceptualizing ideas to conducting studies, analyzing data, and confidently defending their findings in front of the panel. The AVR was filled with nervous excitement, critical thinking, and meaningful discussions as students answered questions and stood firm in their research.

More than a competition, this defense highlighted the true essence of research: seeking solutions, sharing knowledge, and making an impact. It was inspiring to witness how each strand brought unique perspectives—STEM with innovation and scientific inquiry, ABM with practical and business-driven insights, and HUMSS with socially relevant and human-centered studies.

To all participants, your courage and dedication did not go unnoticed. Regardless of the results, each of you has already achieved something commendable by completing and defending your research.

‎ SPECTARE's 𝑻𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒌 𝑶𝒖𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎 promoted healthy lifestyles by sharing insights on the 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗲-𝗰𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝘀 on the body. A huge thank you to Dr. Eleanor of Bataan Saint Joseph Hospital for her expert knowledge about this topic, that the students will surely embody.

‎ After an enlightening discussion, SPECTARE officers distributed collected donations to Grade 9 students: 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀, and 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀. These sparked another engaging session led by Aliyah Banzon (Grade 12 Representative) and Sofia Bantay (Creative Head), shedding light on the periodic table's wonders—super useful for their studies!

This is the season of 𝖇𝖗𝖆𝖎𝖓𝖘𝖙𝖔𝖗𝖒𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝖎𝖉𝖊𝖆𝖘 💡, writing chapters ✍️, checking sources 📖, revising papers 📝, and sometimes 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙩 𝙖 𝙗𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙠 𝙨𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨👀. It’s the time of 𝘴𝘭𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴 🌙, 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘴, 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘱 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘶𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 👥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 ⏳ that seem to come faster every day.

None of the above because behind every research journey 📚 is a story of 𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮🕵 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙩𝙝💪, not just the need to finish to complete requirements. There will be moments when the workload feels endless💤 and the thought “𝒲𝒾𝓁𝓁 𝐼 𝓂𝒶𝓀𝑒 𝒾𝓉?” pops into your mind. But every obstacle along the way is also an opportunity to 𝖑𝖊𝖆𝖗𝖓 📖, 𝖊𝖝𝖕𝖑𝖔𝖗𝖊 🔍, 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖇𝖊𝖈𝖔𝖒𝖊 𝖒𝖔𝖗𝖊 𝖗𝖊𝖘𝖎𝖑𝖎𝖊𝖓𝖙 🌱.

Research isn’t just about completing a requirement. It’s about 𝚊𝚜𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚝𝚘𝚞𝚐𝚑 𝚚𝚞𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚜 ❓, 𝚏𝚒𝚗𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚖𝚎𝚊𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚏𝚞𝚕 𝚊𝚗𝚜𝚠𝚎𝚛𝚜 ✔️, and adding your own voice to 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙜𝙚 🧠. Every sentence written, every data collected, and every revision made brings us closer to that finish line 🎯.

So to everyone stepping into this ✨ 𝙍𝙀𝙎𝙀𝘼𝙍𝘾𝙃 𝘿𝙀𝙁𝙀𝙉𝙎𝙀 𝙎𝙀𝘼𝙎𝙊𝙉✨, keep going, stay curious, stay committed, and trust in your process. One day, those 𝚕𝚊𝚝𝚎 𝚗𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝𝚜 🌙 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚑𝚊𝚛𝚍 𝚍𝚊𝚢𝚜 💻 will turn into a 𝓅𝒶𝓅𝑒𝓇 𝓎𝑜𝓊’𝓇𝑒 𝓅𝓇𝑜𝓊𝒹 𝑜𝒻.

Researchers at Bay : Capstone Exhibit 2026

Get ready to witness innovation, creativity, and research excellence as Grade 12 STEM Engineering, Architecture, and IT students showcase their capstone projects at the Bataan National High School – Senior High School Covered Court this March 13, 2026. This event highlights students’ research-driven solutions and technological innovations aligned with the K–12 Practical Research curriculum.

Students must register through the official Google Form accessible via the QR Code that will be posted on the SPECTARE and ANTIKYTHERA pages.
Room-to-room announcements will also be conducted for all STEM sections.
