LAST DAY OF BOSS & CONTINUING FIRE SAFETY SERVICES / January 20, 2026

Today marks the final day of the Business-One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) activity. BFP Balasan Fire Station will cater to all clients until 5:00 PM for the processing and release of Fire Safety Clearances and other related services.

Starting tomorrow, the application of new and renewal Fire Safety Inspection Certificates (FSIC) will continue at the fire station. Clients may also claim released FSICs during regular office hours.

We remain committed to providing efficient, reliable, and accessible fire safety services to our community.

Never add water to a grease fire. Why? 🔥 When water is added, it sinks below the burning oil and flashes into steam. Steam expands rapidly and blasts the burning oil and fire out of the pan in all directions. Instead, smother the fire with a lid or cookie sheet. BFP Balasan Fire Station, led by SFO3 John M Coronado, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, participated in Day 7 and Day 8 of the BOSS hosted by LGU Balasan under HON. MAYOR FILOMENO V. GANZON, held at the Balasan Civic Center from January 07–20, 2026 (except weekends).

The activity supports the Ease of Doing Business Act through the processing and issuance of FSIC and FSC, ensuring fire safety compliance while delivering fast and efficient public service.

BFP Balasan Fire Station tuned in to the 40th episode of BFPTv Wow Nami!, featuring FSSUPT BARTOLOME O BELIRAN, DSC, Assistant Regional Director for Operations (ARDO).

The episode highlighted Fire Code Revenue Awareness Month and BFP Region 6’s preparations for the Ati-Atihan and Dinagyang Festivities, emphasizing safety and security to ensure peaceful celebrations across the region.

The live episode was also flashed on the LED Screen TV of LGU Balasan inside the gym during the conduct of BOSS, gaining additional viewers and engagement.

INTER-AGENCY MEETING | SADSAD 2026 PREPARATIONS
JANUARY 15, 2026

BFP Balasan Fire Station participated in an Inter-Agency Meeting to ensure the safe and orderly conduct of the Sadsad sa Dalanon / Procession of Señor Santo Niño on January 18, 2026 (Sunday), 4:00 PM.

Assembly time is 3:15 PM at the designated open area beside the Church. Motorists are advised to expect temporary traffic adjustments along the route. Kindly refer to the MAP Photo from ICT Balasan for guidance.

BFP Balasan will serve as the designated “sweeper,” providing fire safety coverage and emergency response readiness throughout the event. 🚒🔥

Balasan Fire Station personnel, led by SFO3 John M Coronado, actively participated in the B.O.S.S. CY 2026 at the Balasan Civic Center, assisting business owners in the processing of their annual permits for faster and hassle-free transactions.
