CLANDESTINE DRUG LAB BUSTED IN PUERTO GALERA; ₱6.8-M SHABU SEIZED

In a sustained anti-illegal drug operation, joint elements of the Puerto Galera Municipal Police Station, Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office, and PDEA RO MIMAROPA implemented a search warrant on March 31, 2026, at Brgy. Sinandigan, Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, leading to the dismantling of a suspected clandestine drug laboratory.

At around 9:27 AM, operatives served Search Warrant No. SW-26-016 for violations of Sections 8 and 11 of Republic Act 9165. Although the identified suspect, alias “Chin Chin,” was not present during the operation and remains at large, authorities proceeded with the search, resulting in the discovery of substantial drug evidence and laboratory equipment.

Seized from the site were forty-eight (48) containers and various materials containing, or with traces of, white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, along with eleven (11) containers of unidentified liquids. Also recovered were two (2) glass filtering flasks, ten (10) LPG tanks, four (4) heavy-duty stove burners, a generator, and other paraphernalia suspected to be used in the manufacture of illegal drugs.

The recovered illegal drug evidence is estimated to weigh approximately one kilogram, with a standard drug price of ₱6,800,000.00.

All seized items will be returned to the issuing court, with a motion to retain the evidence to be filed for proper turnover to PDEA RO MIMAROPA for laboratory examination.

“This operation underscores our relentless drive to dismantle drug networks at their source. Hindi lang natin hinuhuli ang mga sangkot—sinisira natin ang kanilang kakayahang mag-operate,” said Chief PNP, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr.

“Hindi lang ito laban sa ilegal na droga—ito ay laban para sa proteksyon ng bawat mamamayan. By cutting off supply at the production level, we are protecting communities and supporting the national government’s campaign for a safer, healthier Philippines,” he added.

The Philippine National Police remains committed to intensifying intelligence-driven and inter-agency operations to eradicate illegal drug activities and ensure safer communities in line with the vision of a Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.

PNP NABS TOP 5 MOST WANTED OVER HUMAN TRAFFICKING CASES

The Philippine National Police, under the command of PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., arrested a provincial Top 5 Most Wanted Person for multiple counts of human trafficking in an operation conducted at about 6:00 PM on April 1, 2026 in Brgy. Telapayong, Arayat, Pampanga.

Joint elements of the Mabalacat City Police Station, Pampanga Police Provincial Office, and the 302nd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 implemented a warrant of arrest against a female accused listed among the Most Wanted Persons at the provincial level. The warrant stemmed from violations of Republic Act No. 9208, or the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act, in relation to Republic Act No. 10175, covering six counts, with no bail recommended.

Following her arrest, the accused was taken into custody by the Mabalacat City Police Station for proper documentation and judicial proceedings.

The successful manhunt reflects the PNP’s continuing push under its Focused Agenda—a strategic direction for transformation aimed at delivering more responsive police service. This accomplishment highlights the priority on Enhanced Managing Police Operations, reinforcing the capability of police units to track down and apprehend individuals facing serious criminal charges.

PGEN Nartatez underscored the importance of sustained operations against offenders involved in exploitation and organized crimes.

“Operations like this affirm our resolve to go after individuals who prey on the vulnerable. The PNP will not allow traffickers to evade accountability.”

“Hindi namin palalagpasin ang mga gumagawa ng ganitong uri ng krimen. May hangganan ang pagtatago, at darating ang araw na haharap sila sa batas.”

He also called on police units to maintain momentum in pursuing fugitives across all levels.

“We expect our personnel to remain focused in locating wanted persons and ensuring that justice is carried out. Every arrest contributes to a safer environment for our communities.”

“Mas paiigtingin pa namin ang paghahanap sa mga taong may kaso. Hindi kami titigil hanggang sa maihatid sila sa tamang proseso ng batas.”

As the PNP intensifies its campaign against human trafficking and other forms of criminality under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., it continues to assure the public of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman.”
