Disease surveillance is one of the core functions of the Public Health Unit, serving as the foundation for the early detection, timely reporting, and prompt response to diseases of public health concern. A strong surveillance system enables health authorities to identify potential outbreaks early, implement appropriate interventions, and ultimately protect the health and well-being of the communities we serve.

In line with this commitment, the Public Health Unit has further strengthened its surveillance system through the designation of a dedicated Disease Surveillance Officer, April Tacianne Lucindo, RN Tacy Bernardino with the help of our Hospital Surveillance System Data Encoder, Raymond D. Alviar, RMT Rymnd Alvr. Through their dedication and close collaboration with our committed staff nurses, Aurora Memorial Hospital continues to enhance the sensitivity and responsiveness of its surveillance system, ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of notifiable diseases.

Ang tamang kaalaman ay unang hakbang tungo sa mas malusog at ligtas na pamayanan.

Matagumpay na nagsagawa ang Aurora Memorial Hospital – Public Health Unit ng Health Education and Awareness Campaign sa AMH OPD Hallway upang mapalawak ang kaalaman ng ating mga pasyente tungkol sa pag-iwas sa Heat-Related Illnesses at sa paggunita ng Hunyo bilang Dengue Awareness Month.

Ipinaliwanag ni Ms. Judy Ann Julio, HEPO II, ang kahalagahan ng pagsunod sa 3H laban sa matinding init:

✅ Search and Destroy ng pinamumugaran ng lamok
✅ Self-Protection Measures
✅ Support Spraying/Fogging sa mga hotspot area

Sa pamamagitan ng patuloy na pagbabahagi ng tamang impormasyon, sama-sama nating mapapalakas ang kamalayan at pagkilos ng bawat isa tungo sa pag-iwas sa sakit at pangangalaga sa kalusugan.

Dahil sa patuloy na pagtaas ng kaso ng dengue sa Lalawigan ng Aurora, pinaaalalahanan ang lahat na maging mas maingat at aktibo sa pag-iwas sa sakit na ito.

Ang dengue ay mabilis kumalat sa pamamagitan ng kagat ng lamok, lalo na sa mga lugar na may naiipong tubig. Kaya mahalagang agad na alisin ang mga posibleng pamugaran nito sa ating paligid.

Ano ang dapat gawin?
✔ Itapon at linisin ang mga lalagyan ng tubig
✔ Takpan ang mga drum, timba, at iba pang imbakan ng tubig
✔ Linisin ang mga alulod, kanal, at bubong
✔ Palitan ang tubig ng mga paso at plorera linggo-linggo
✔ Gumamit ng mosquito repellent at kulambo

Maging responsableng mamamayan. Iwas dengue, simulan sa sariling bakuran.

Kapag nakaranas ng lagnat, pananakit ng katawan, o iba pang sintomas, agad na kumonsulta sa pinakamalapit na health facility.
