BISU Balilihan - Gender and Development

📢 Health Services Activity | March 19, 2026

As part of the celebration of Women’s Month, the Health, Wellness and Services Office, in collaboration with the Gender and Development (GAD) Office, conducted health services today for the faculty and staff.

The activity included the following services:
✅ Blood Sugar Testing
✅ Body Mass Index (BMI) Computation – To determine whether the result falls under normal, overweight, or obese classification.
✅ Weight Measurement / Weighing – As part of monitoring our health status.

This activity aims to promote awareness on health and wellness and to encourage everyone to take part in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Today, we successfully conducted the Babaylan Leadership in Modern Academia and Administration: Power Rooted in Wisdom, Integrity, and Compassion in celebration of National Women’s Month 2026. 💜

The activity highlighted the importance of recognizing the indigenous roots of Filipina leadership, reminding us that strength, compassion, and wisdom have always been part of our identity as women. Through the roundtable discussion, sharing of insights, and meaningful conversations, participants were inspired to embrace leadership with integrity and purpose in the academe and in public service.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our resource speakers Dr. Anne Mariquit Oppus, Ms. Joan V. Llanos, and Ms. Queenie Melody Fullante, facilitators, and participants from TCC, HNU and BISU for making this activity meaningful and successful. Your presence and support continue to strengthen our commitment to promote Gender and Development, equality, and inclusive leadership.
