RE: 14th Founding Anniversary of Batanes State College

I am very much elated to inform you that Batanes State College (BSC) has commemorated its 14th founding anniversary, as a state college, on August 07, 2018. As part of this momentous activity, we have calendared our celebration and college intramurals on August 28 – 30, 2018.

As we continue our journey towards strengthening our unity and in the solidifying of our linkages with our partner agencies in the birth of the new administration, we have unanimously chosen “BSC @ 14: Strengthening Unity for Superior Resiliency” as the most fitting theme for this year’s occasion. This celebration of another milestone is indeed a commemoration of the continuing progress of the BSC as the only government-run higher education institution in our beloved Batanes. We acknowledge your all-out support, alumnus/alumna, which makes the whole academic community of the BSC feel that it is never alone in her sacred journey towards a higher educational landscape.

In view hereof, may I suggest, and this is only a suggestion to this Association, headed by President Robert M. Bidayan, to invite all alumnus/alumna who may want to participate in the Basco town parade/street dance of BSC. This will be held on August 28, 2018 at 8:00 in the morning.

This avenue will help us show that we are proud to support our beloved alma mater in all its programs and activities. More so, this is a good chance to meet our fellow alumni, long lost friends and crush/es😄, and former classmates.

Thank you very much. Let's all support our alma mater 😍

For the information of all, Mr. Robert Merina Bidayan is our alumni president and also a member of the Highest Governing Body of our beloved BSAT/BPC/BSC. With that, we are assured that we will be kept posted and will be sumptously fed with the right information (not fake news) regarding the updates or agenda taken every after meetings of the Board on a quarterly regular basis. If you have some suggestions to improve BSC or issues and concerns regarding the administration, the faculty members, or administrative staffs please let him know so he can voice it out during said meetings.

May I also take this opportunity to inform everyone, that the BSC-BOT Private Sector Representative is currently vacant. The last Private Sector Rep to the BSC-BOT is no other that our Provincial Governor Honorable Marilou H. Cayco. If you know of someone, who is attached to private organization/s or runs a business and has the heart to serve our alma mater, please let us know. The Office of the BOT Secretary, located at the 2nd Floor of the HTM Laboratory Building inside the BSC campus, is always open to welcome and accept your or her/his application.
