05 June 2026 I Fire Safety Inspection at Basud National High School

As part of the commitment of the Bureau Of Fire Protection in the Bayanihan Sa Paaralan Program, in preparation for the opening of classes, Basud Fire Station personnel FO1 Mark Jay V Sayson and FO1 Jerico B Parma, led by SFO3 Eden E Ponayo, Officer-In-Charge, conducted a Fire Safety Inspection at Basud National High School, Brgy. Poblacion 1, Basud, Camarines Norte.

This aims to identify and address potential fire hazards that may endanger learners and school personnel. The activity included checking the adequacy and serviceability of fire extinguishers, testing the functionality of the fire alarm system, and assessing overall fire safety measures. Recommendations were also provided on the appropriate type of fire extinguishers for ICT rooms to ensure effective response to electrical fires and other emergency situations.

Poblacion 1, Basud, Camarines Norte, represented by Mrs. Lea Rose A. Regondola, School DRRM Coordinator.

The formulation of the School Emergency Response Plan (SERP) and the organization of the School Emergency Response Team (SERT) highlight the school's commitment to ensuring the safety and preparedness of its learners and teaching/non teaching staff, during fire and other emergency situations.

This initiative strengthens emergency response mechanisms while promoting fire safety awareness among children at a very young age. United in the spirit of Bayanihan, the Bureau of Fire Protection Basud personnel, headed by SFO3 Eden E Ponayo together with FO1 Mark Jay V Sayson, FO1 Jerico B Parma, FO1 Menard R Bisco, proudly participated in the Bayanihan Sa Paaralan activity with the theme: Nagkakaisa Para Sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman. At Basud Central School, Brgy. Poblacion 2, Basud, Camarines Norte.

Through collective efforts in cleaning and improving school facilities, we helped create a cleaner, safer, and more conducive learning environment for the pupils as they prepare for the opening of classes.
