They serve as firefighters and police officers, but they also work in other fields like as medicine, food delivery, customer service, and as overseas workers. Let us take a moment on this National Heroes Day to honor the unsung heroes who ensure our collective well-being every day.

Ms. Alecsis G. Villarin possesses the knowledge, understanding, and abilities necessary for successful academic instruction and study. She was working as an SRA in the Research Directorate at Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) when she was approached to become affiliate professor in the College of Agriculture, Food, and Sustainable Development (CAFSD). At the University's Innovation and Technology Support Office, she works as a license officer for various technologies (UITSO). In addition to being a Garlic Research Center affiliate. She earned a BS in Agriculture from MMSU in 2013 with a concentration in Horticulture and an MS in Crop Science in 2018. She also graduated from MMSU with a 2-year certificate in Agricultural Technology through the university's Ladderized program. She is an undergraduate at the University of the Philippines Los Baños majoring in Plant Pathology and plans to earn a Ph.D. in the field.
