The Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte, through the Provincial Agriculture Office, has facilitated the marketing and sale of over 260 metric tons of agricultural commodities as of March 2026, including surplus white onions. The Ilocos Norte Agricultural Trading Center- Bagsakan continues to serve as a local trading hub, strengthening market access and supporting the efficient movement of farmers’ produce.

As part of its continuing support to the agriculture sector, PGIN provides hauling trucks, fuel assistance, and direct market linkages to buyers, helping ensure a steady supply of goods, reduce transport costs, and establish more reliable and sustainable market connections for local farmers.

The Ilocos Norte Agricultural Center, a flagship project of the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte, extended assistance to Zanjera Naganakan FA, Inc., Sanjera Nagcarsuan FA, Inc., and San Juan Icas Maumel FA by facilitating the hauling of over 43 metric tons of high-value crops, generating more than P1 million in total sales.

The Provincial Government continues to provide support through the deployment of hauling trucks and the grant of fuel subsidies to farmers’ cooperatives and associations. This initiative aims to strengthen market linkages, support compliance with quality standards, and promote sustainable partnerships between organized farmer groups and buyers, in line with the continued development in the agricultural sector in the province.
