Amid a crowd of avid readers, the MMSU Press team connected with authors and book distributors at the Philippine Book Festival 2026, held at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City from March 12โ€“15. Organized by the National Book Development Board (NBDB), the event celebrated Filipino stories and brought together publishers, authors, illustrators, and workshop facilitators. Notable personalities included National Artist Ricky Lee, multi-award-winning musician Gloc-9, and renowned author Ambeth Ocampo.

The festival featured book launches, author talks, storytelling sessions, and themed areas such as Kid Lit, Booktopia for fiction and non-fiction, Komiks, and Aral Aklat for educational works. MMSU Press engaged with creators and readers, explored a wide selection of literary and educational materials, and strengthened connections with fellow publishers.

As a certified publisher, seller, and printer of books through NBDB, MMSU Press continues to support initiatives that promote reading, knowledge sharing, and local literature. The Press looks forward to participating in future Philippine Book Festivals to expand its presence in Philippine literature and publishing. (๐˜‰๐˜‰๐˜‹)

A year ago, MMSU Press was just a proposal. Fast forward to today, we now published our 20th book, real and proudly printed under Mariano Marcos State University.

Each book represents authors who chose to finally put their work out into the world. It also reflects the strong support of our community, the Instructional Material Development Office, the University Innovation and Technology Support Office, and the Marketing Center.

And we are only getting started.

This year, we are expanding into more genres, including fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, instructional modules, research monographs, childrenโ€™s books, cultural heritage publications, and even coffee table books featuring ๐˜๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฌ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฐ and ๐˜ˆ๐˜ฎ๐˜ช๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ narratives and scholarship.

We are also opening our very own MMSU Press Office and hopefully soon, our Printing Press at FEM 109, made possible through the strong support of Virgilio Julius P. Manzano Jr. You can now visit us and see how we can turn your ideas into actual books.

Researchers, writers, and aspiring authors, this is your sign. If you have a draft sitting in your laptop, letโ€™s talk about it over a cup of coffee.

Reach us at [email protected] or message the official MMSU Press page. Visit us at FEM 109.

Letโ€™s keep creating and striving for ๐˜ฆ๐˜น๐˜ค๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ค๐˜ฆ ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ ๐˜ฆ๐˜ท๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜บ ๐˜ฑ๐˜ข๐˜จ๐˜ฆ.
