Did you know that the symbol of Autism was created by 15 people, some of whom were autistic, and were autism advocates?

The puzzle piece symbol was first introduced in 1963 by the National Autistic Society (NAS) in the UK as a way to represent the complexity and mystery of autism spectrum. It is a well-known emblem of autism awareness and aim to raise awareness and promote acceptance of individuals with autism. The symbol doesn't mean a missing piece of themselves but rather a unique on their own way. Together, let's embrace neurodiversity, breakdown stigmas, and create a more accepting society where people with autism are respected, valued, empowered and embraced for who they are.
