05-07-2024. With the MPSPC Administration’s relentless pursuit for enhancing its systems and operations, the Higher Education sector key officials, in tandem with the Human Resources Management Office (HRMO) Director, convened to review the MPSPC Merit System for Faculty Members. Presided by VPAA Dr. Mark Preston S. Lopez, the workshop was a fruitful exercise evident in the enhancement of the provisions of the College’s merit system. The ad hoc committee included Dr. Arel B. Sia-ed and Dr. Geraldine L. Madjaco, Campus Executive Directors of the 2 campuses; Dr. Rhoda B. Galangco, Director for Curriculum and Instruction; Dr. Susan A. Lopez and Mr. Alfred O. Fomocao, Jr., Presidents of the Federated Faculty Associations and the Faculty Union, respectively; and Ms. Zenaida Y. Soliven, HR Director. The output of the review of the system which was last reviewed in 2019 shall be subjected for approval by concerned bodies and shall be submitted to the Civil Service Commission.

The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) conducted a workshop with the Campus Executive Deans, the academic program chairpersons of the both campuses, the Faculty Trustee,and the Student Trustee, to craft the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Undergraduate Student Research Manual which is due for implementation in the Academic Year 2023-2024.
