Another beautiful Friday morning in the city of the Golden Sunrise, Borongan City.

Seeing these giant lanterns, towering christmas trees, and christmas lights brings out the child in me, and it brings back a soothing feeling that words can’t even explain. Coming here feels like stepping into a time machine, bringing me back to my 90s childhood when simple christmas lights were enough to make kids happy. It saddens me that I have to travel just to feel that kind of joy again.

I personally want to give credit to all the people behind this initiative. Even though life is difficult, for a few minutes I truly felt the spirit of Christmas. Even with many problems, those small moments made things feel lighter, and even for just a few seconds, I was brought back to the child I once was.
