𝐁𝐔𝐋𝐔𝐀𝐍, 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐫 — Demonstrating its commitment to supporting provincial security operations, the Provincial General Services Office (PGSO) successfully installed a durable, high-capacity steel tent at the PNP checkpoint, situated near the Provincial Capitol, Buluan, Maguindanao del Sur, on May 22, 2026.

This project is a key component of the provincial government’s comprehensive program championed by the Provincial Governor to enhance frontline security and public safety. In executing this initiative, the PGSO continues to fulfill its core mandate regarding the systematic management of provincial assets and the maintenance of essential infrastructure. By transforming temporary, makeshift setups into durable, high-grade facilities, the office is ensuring that provincial resources are utilized effectively to support those who serve the province.

The initiative was launched to address the challenging environmental conditions faced by Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel conducting health screenings and security checks. With record-high temperatures creating difficult working conditions, the PGSO mobilized its technical team to provide an immediate infrastructure solution as part of its mandate to provide logistical support.

"Our mission goes beyond routine logistics; it is about ensuring that those who maintain peace and order in our province have the environment they need to function effectively," said a representative from the PGSO. "Acting under the direction of the Provincial Governor's program, we are fulfilling our mandate by providing a stable, weather-resistant structure that directly supports the operational continuity of our PNP partners."

The new installation replaces a temporary setup with a robust, steel-framed structure. Designed for durability and climate resistance, the tent provides a cooler, more stable environment that allows officers to maintain their focus and health while performing their duties under the midday sun.

Beyond immediate comfort, the project aligns with the PGSO’s broader 2026 strategic goals regarding smart asset management and infrastructure support. The department emphasized that the installation is part of a wider, governor-led effort to professionalize provincial checkpoints, ensuring that public service delivery remains efficient regardless of environmental constraints.

The PGSO confirmed that the structure was inspected and cleared for immediate use, resulting in a seamless transition for the officers on duty. This effort underscores the office's ongoing focus on logistical excellence and its dedication to the welfare of frontline responders in Maguindanao del Sur.

In a landmark achievement for public safety, the Province of Maguindanao del Sur has officially turned over 34 specialized motorcycle units to boost the operational capabilities of local law enforcement today, May 22, 2026. This initiative marks a significant advancement in the province's mission to enhance territorial coverage, patrol visibility, and rapid emergency response across our communities.

This strategic deployment—comprising 24 units for various Municipal Police Stations and 10 units for the Provincial Police Office—is a direct manifestation of the transformative leadership and vision of Provincial Governor Datu Ali M. Midtimbang. Recognizing that an agile and well-equipped police force is the bedrock of a secure province, Governor Midtimbang championed this procurement to ensure our frontline personnel possess the mobility required to serve every resident with excellence and speed.

The successful realization of this program serves as a testament to the seamless alignment between executive vision and administrative ex*****on. The Provincial General Services Office (PGSO) acted as an essential engine behind this project, turning the Provincial Government of Maguindanao del Sur's mandate into a tangible community impact through:

𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐎𝐒 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘 – The Provincial General Services Office (PGSO) of Maguindanao del Sur has reaffirmed its commitment to operational excellence and sustainable development following its strategic role in the recently concluded Training on Social Preparation Activities and Planning: Public Consultation on the Resettlement Action Plans (RAP).

The three-day event, held from May 19 to 21, 2026, at the Horizon Suites and Arcade, served as a crucial platform for the Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIADP-BARMM). The project, a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR), provincial stakeholders, and the World Bank, aims to empower indigenous communities through infrastructure and market-oriented agricultural development.

During the consultation, the PGSO-MDS, represented by Engr. Peter Dominique Dollosa and his staff, functioned as the official counterpart to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) for Social and Environmental Safeguards (SES). Tasked with ensuring that all project plans prioritize environmental health and the welfare of Indigenous Peoples (IPs), the PGSO-MDS implemented rigorous oversight throughout the activity.

PGSO-MDS’s role is to serve as the bridge between development goals and compliance standards. By embedding environmental safeguards directly into the Resettlement Action Plans, PGSO-MDS ensures that the progress we bring to Maguindanao del Sur is sustainable and truly beneficial for our people.

The consultation highlighted a synchronized approach to provincial governance. While the PGSO-MDS managed the environment and social compliance aspects, the Provincial Engineering Office led the technical implementation of infrastructure projects.

Oversight was spearheaded by the Local Project Management and Implementation Unit (LPMIU) under Engr. Jedhani E. Ulangkaya of the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAG), ensuring that all project approvals remained aligned with the directives of the Provincial Governor Datu Ali M. MIdtimbang.

Beyond managing venue safety and logistical flow, the PGSO’s participation was part of a larger mandate to modernize provincial service delivery. By integrating "Smart Asset Management" and strict environmental protocols, the office is setting a benchmark for future government operations in the Bangsamoro region.

As the province prepares for the next phase of the MIADP, the PGSO’s technical groundwork provides a robust foundation. With World Bank funding supplemented by provincial equity, the project is poised to transform the agricultural landscape of ancestral domains, provided that the rigorous safeguards established this week remain at the forefront of implementation.

The consultation concluded on May 21 with key agreements reached on resettlement frameworks, marking a significant milestone in the province’s commitment to inclusive, safe, and responsible development.

This capacity-building activity ensures that every staff member fully understands the legal framework that guides our conduct, behavior, and professional responsibilities as public servants. The presentation provided a comprehensive review of the essential provisions of the CSC Code, reinforcing our shared commitment to integrity and accountability.

Through the guidance of the PHRMO, we were reminded that the CSC Code is more than a set of rules—it is the guidebook that defines our identity as civil servants and serves as the foundation for professionalism and excellence in all our operations.
