The ISySS CDM Project Team, together with our partner agencies, successfully conducted a Scientific Meeting at the 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆, 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 (𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗜), 𝗧𝗼𝗸𝘆𝗼, 𝗝𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 as part of our international benchmarking activities on chemical regulation and digitalization.

The meeting focused on Japan’s Chemical Substances Control Law, application procedures for chemical registration, reporting systems, and the digital transformation of government processes related to chemical management. These discussions are vital in strengthening the development of the Intelligent Systems for Secure and Sustainable Chemical Distribution Management (ISySS CDM) project in the Philippines.

We were warmly welcomed by the METI officials, led by 𝗗𝗶𝗿. 𝗢𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘂𝘆𝗮𝘀𝘂, Deputy Director, with technical presentations delivered by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘂𝘆𝗼 𝗬𝘂𝗸𝗶𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗼, 𝗠𝘀.𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶 𝗜𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗱𝗮, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗜𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘄𝗮 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗶, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗧𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘂 𝗬𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗼, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗶 𝗔𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗼. The discussions provided valuable insights on best practices in policy development, digital systems, and data security, which will guide the improvement of chemical licensing systems in the Philippines.
