His presence was fitting, reflecting the university’s current focus on entrepreneurship and innovation. In 2018, CSU was among the pioneer proponents of TBI under the DOST-PCIEERD through establishing Navigatú.

As a role model in the TBI journey himself, President Daguil pioneered the MAPX project. The in-house project exemplified how academic innovation can address the community’s needs while simultaneously creating income-generating opportunities.

MAPX Field Validation and Assessment Training

The MAPX team, in collaboration with the Office of the Municipal Assessor of Mambajao, conducted a hands-on field validation using the MAPX mobile application enhancing data accuracy and streamlining assessment processes on the ground.

Engineer Bryan Gingo Ramirez and Jockey M. Fernandez of the MAPX team met with Mayor Yñigo Jesus D. Romualdo and Municipal Assessor Roderic B. Montalba REA, REB to discuss project progress, challenges, and next steps. The LGU aims to harness technology for faster, more efficient public service highlighting future integration of miscellaneous maps and mobile assessment tools. Training with the Assessor’s Office was also conducted to support real-time data validation.
