The Consumer Patrol Project officially marks the beginning of student involvement in strengthening consumerism within the province of Quirino.
On 31 March, 2026, a Ceremonial Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI) Region 02 and Quirino State University (QSU) was held at the QSU - Cabarroguis Campus in Zamora, Cabarroguis, Quirino.

The Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 2, in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 2, the Provincial Tourism Office, and the DTI Quirino Provincial Office, conducted an on-site visit and assessment on 6 April 2026 for the proposed launching of the creative tourism circuit, “Lakbay-Likha: A Creative Tourism Experience.”

The province-wide validation activity aimed to assess the readiness of identified sites for inclusion in the tourism circuit, which seeks to integrate tourism, culture, and creative enterprise development in Quirino.

Diffun, Quirino - The Department of Trade and Industry R2 – Quirino Provincial Office successfully conducted its 1st Quarter Provincial Management Review on 18 March 2026, at the DTI Quirino Provincial Office. The one-day activity, facilitated by the Planning and Information Management Unit (PIMU) assessed the accomplishments of each unit in alignment with the national, regional, and provincial mandate.

The management review concluded that overall targets as of February 2026 remain on track, ensuring that programs and services are effectively delivered and promoted to clients.

During the meeting, OIC Provincial Director Rowena F. Mayangat emphasized that conservation measures are top priority to be implemented in response to current conditions, while reaffirming the office’s dedication to delivering programs, activities and projects with utmost professionalism. She highlighted that continuous professional conduct and service must always be upheld to sustain the agency’s credibility and impact.

Despite constraints, DTI Quirino remains steadfast in ensuring that all programs reach the public, demonstrating strong and unwavering dedication to its mandate of promoting trade, industry, and consumer welfare.
