Walk with Lexis
Lexis is a strong and brave kid who may have lost his feet, but never his fighting spirit.

Lexis walked for the first time during Mass today, holding Daddy’s hand as he made his way to our seats, and I couldn’t help but tear up🥹
After Lexis’ revision amputation surgery last October 2025, his wounds fully healed around December last year. We are hopeful that it will be more than five years before overgrowth happens again and another surgery becomes necessary. For now, he is healthy and playful and so sweet and we are just overflowing with gratitude. 🙏
We recently went back to Cotabato last week, to have him refitted, as his old prosthetics no longer fit properly. He’ grown so much since he had his first prosthetics when he was just 4, and we were afraid to let him use them because as soon as we try to make him wear them, he immediately complains. We have already processed the requirements and are now just waiting for approval so he can be properly resized and provided with a new, truly custom-fit pair. At the moment, he is using his old prosthetics (which was also adjusted for his comfort), though not all the time. He still feels discomfort and sometimes says he’s in pain, often preferring to move on his knees instead of walking. Yet, when there are visitors around or kids his age, we noticed that he shows off that he can walk confidently even without using his walker, even if only for a few seconds. Still, that alone is already a huge difference and a big step forward. 💙
We gently encourage him to keep trying, hoping he will slowly grow more comfortable and confident walking again.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has been an instrument in Lexis’ development. We humbly ask that you continue to shower him with love and prayers. Layo pa, pero layo na 🥲😊🙏
Blessed Sunday 🤍

Day 5
Lexis is finally set for surgery tomorrow! 🥹 We humbly ask for your prayers for everything to go smoothly - the wisdom of doctors, the readiness of the hospital, equipment, procedure, and most especially, for Lexis’ health. May the surgery be successful and his recovery quick and comfortable. 🙏
We are so thankful to the doctors who came and explained everything — from the pediatrician’s evaluation, to the anesthesiologist’s preparation, to the orthopedic surgeon’s detailed approach. The plan is to get a bone from the side of his leg (below the knee) to create a stump that can help stop or minimize the overgrowth. It won’t totally stop it, but they hope it can lessen the number of revision surgeries he’ll need as he grows — maybe every 5 years instead of every 3. (See last photo for reference, unless squeamish 🫣)
Lexis was also anointed by Father Mark today 🤲 and we continue to hold on tightly to our faith during this challenging time. ❤️
Thank you so much to everyone who has been helping and praying for our little warrior. 🙇♀️
