Perlite is used in soil mixes (including soilless mediums) to improve aeration and modify the soil substructure, keeping it loose, well-draining and defying compaction. A premium mix of one part loam, one part peat moss or cocopeat, and one part perlite is optimum for container growing, enabling the pot to hold just enough water and oxygen. Perlite is also great for seed germination, hydroponics, rooting cuttings and fosters much stronger root formation than those grown in water alone.

Cocopeat and Cococoir

It increases aeration, water retention, improves soil texture, productivity and reduces root diseases!

Coco peat is a growing medium and normally used for soil amendments. It’s made from the husks of coconuts. It’s a beneficial product for plant growers and provides an alternative growing medium. It’s used much like sphagnum peat in garden applications. It increases water retention, aeration and provides antifungal benefits when used alone or incorporated into the soil as an ingredient.

Introducing her majesty, Philodendron Queen Elizabeth (Prince of Orange)

The Philodendron Prince of Orange gets its name from its uniquely hued leaves, which change color over time. New growth starts a starburst yellow when it first emerges, transitioning first to copper tones, and ultimately settling into darker shades of green.

This plant is a self-heading Philodendron hybrid. Unlike many Philodendron varieties, the Prince of Orange grows its vibrant leaves from its center rather than from vines or stems. Its brilliant coloring aside, it looks and grows very similarly to a Philodendron Congo, except will only reach about 2 feet tall at its largest.

The Prince of Orange appreciates a bright location in your home or office, out of reach of direct sunlight, in a spot where it will receive plenty of ambient or filtered light throughout the day.
