Today, we honor the gallant heroes who stood their ground with unwavering patriotism and sacrifice. Their legacy lives on in every Filipino who chooses to serve, lead, and protect. May we continue to uphold the values they fought for and carry their spirit in our service to the nation.

The Xavier University – Philippine Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (XU PAF ROTC) joins the nation in celebrating Araw ng Kagitingan.

On 21 February 2026, LTC ROY R LOPEZ PAF (GSC), conducted his official exit call and delivered a speech to the cadets of the Xavier University – Philippine Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (XU-PAF ROTC), marking the end of his one year and six months as Commanding Officer. He will be reassigned to Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo for his new assignment.

He has provided steadfast leadership and guidance, contributing to the discipline, training, and development of the cadets during his time as Commanding Officer. His service has left a lasting impact on the corps and its members.

The XU-PAF ROTC, together with the 8th Air Reserve Center (8th ARCen), expresses its sincere gratitude to LTC ROY R LOPEZ PAF (GSC) for his dedicated service and extends its best wishes for his continued success in his new post.

On 06 December 2025, Xavier University- Philippine Airforce ROTC concluded its “Chalk Art for a Cause” booth, as well as the Firing Range. Over the three-day event, the booth featured an exhibition of uniforms and regalia, highlighting the rich traditions of the corps.

We hope everyone enjoyed Xavier University Festival Days (XUFD) and had the opportunity to experience our showcase.

The XU PAF ROTC Unit participated in the wreath-laying ceremony for the opening of Xavier University Festival Days (XUFD) on 03 December 2025 at 0940H, in honor of St. Francis Xavier. With the presence of 2LT Roberto A Ibaite Jr PAF, and University President Fr Mars P Tan, the ceremony highlighted the University’s commitment to Ignatian values. Service, excellence, and being men and women for and with others. The dedication shown by the cadets reflects the Jesuit mission of forming leaders who embody integrity, purpose, and wholehearted service to the community.

Under the warm afternoon sun of 04 OCTOBER 2025, the Xavier University–Philippine Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps gathered at the Xavier University Parade Ground for a momentous occasion, the Change of Command of the Corps Commander and the Opening Ceremony of the Cadet Officer Candidate Course Class of 2026, signifying the official commencement of their training.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of LTC Roy R Lopez PAF (GSC), Commanding Officer of the 8th ARCen, who presided over the symbolic passing of the sword from C/COL Kent P Quieta to C/COL Prinz Nehemiah P Cocamas, in the presence of Ma'am Ma Kharmel Pimentel, CWTS Coordinator

The unit extends its heartfelt congratulations to the outgoing officers of MASUGID Class of 2023, whose unwavering dedication continues to inspire the corps. Their legacy endures through the lessons they have imparted to current officers and future cadets. May their path ahead be guided by honor, discipline, and service to the nation.
