🚨 Safety First, Always 🚨

The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 10 under the Leadership of FCSUPT ROMEL C TRADIO, BFP 10 Regional Director and Special Rescue Force Region 10 under the supervision of SFO4 Adones G Llenas, OIC-SRF 10, the Duty personnel responded to a Vehicular incident.

On 24 April 2026 at 1022H, SRF Team promptly responded to a call received from personnel of Alubijid Fire Station regarding a vehicular accident along Alubijid National Highway involving a container truck. The truck lost control and struck a funeral shop, causing damage to their formalin storage drum and resulting in a chemical leak of more or less 200 liters.
Upon arrival, the SRF team immediately isolated and secured the area, implemented vehicular accident (VA) protocols, and conducted hazard mitigation by diluting the chemical using water support from Laguindingan Fire Station. Search operations were also conducted for two reported but unconfirmed victims.
Through coordinated response, discipline, and strict adherence to safety procedures, the situation was effectively managed, and the team safely returned to base.

Let this incident remind us that vigilance, proper handling of hazardous materials, and teamwork are essential in protecting lives and property.

⚠️ Reminder: Always prioritize road safety—stay alert, follow traffic rules, and ensure vehicles are in good condition before traveling. Lives depend on it.

We would like to express our appreciation for the valuable assistance extended by our comrade from Alubijid Fire Station and Laguindingan Fire Station.

In a continuing commitment to strengthen emergency response capabilities, this training was designed to enhance technical rope rescue tactics and operational readiness. The training demanded long and challenging days usually beginning at 0800H and often ending at 2200H, testing both physical strength and mental resilience.

The course pushed trainees to work through fatigue and discomfort, rain or shine. Emphasizing that discipline, teamwork, and perseverance is truly needed during operations. Despite the demanding schedule and conditions, participants consistently gave their best, driven by the shared purpose of learning and becoming more effective rescuers and emergency responders.

This training focused on developing critical rescue competencies while instilling the mindset required in high-risk, real-world emergencies, where focus, calmness, and precision are essential even under extreme pressure. Through continuous drills and hands-on scenarios, trainees strengthened not only their technical abilities but also their character, grit, and sense of responsibility to serve.
