“Beginning on October 1, 2022, you will no longer be able to host any new or scheduled Live Shopping events on Facebook,” Meta said in a blog post.

“However, people will still be able to broadcast live events using Facebook Live, but they will not be able to make product playlists or tag products in Facebook Live recordings.”

Ibig sabihin makakapag live selling parin kayo yun nga lang wala ng mga products playlist or tag products.

ANO ANG PRODUCTS PLAYLIST OR TAG PRODUCTS?

Walang "live shopping" feature ang Facebook dito satin sa Pilipinas so therefore hindi tayo apektado nito. Ang ginagamit nating feature during live selling is yung ordinary "live broadcast" feature kung tawagin. Kung familiar kayo sa live-selling sa TikTok, may mga products sila na tina-tag or what they call "products playlists." Ganyang feature ang tinutukoy ni Meta na kanilang aalisin daw this coming October 1, 2022.

Here in the ph, live-sellers are just using the ordinary LIVE BROADCAST FEATURE, and that’s different from the feature na aalisin ng Meta.

LIVE SELLING SA FACEBOOK, IPAGBABAWAL NA SIMULA OCTOBER 1

Simula Oktubre 1, aalisin na ng Facebook ang kanilang live shopping feature.

Paliwanag ng Facebook, lumilipat na raw kasi ang mga consumer sa short-form video kaya magpopokus na sila sa reels o maiiksing video na napapanood sa FB o Instagram. Puwede pa rin naman daw gamitin ang Facebook Live para sa live event ngunit hindi na maaaring gumawa ng product playlist o mag-tag ng produkto sa live video ang seller.

Noong 2018 unang ipinakilala ng Facebook ang Live Shopping upang makapagbenta ang mga netizen sa pamamagitan ng kanilang live streaming feature. Magiging available ang product tagging sa Instagram Reels ngunit hindi tinukoy kung gayundin sa Facebook Reels.

“From 1 October 2022, you will no longer be able to host any new or scheduled live shopping events on Facebook,” pahayag ng Facebook.

“As consumers’ viewing behaviours are shifting to short-form video, we are shifting our focus to Reels on Facebook and Instagram, Meta’s short-form video product,” dagdag nito.
