Chemical engineers apply the principles of chemistry, biology, physics, and math to solve problems that involve the use of fuel, drugs, food, and many other products. Chemical engineers work mostly in offices or laboratories. They may spend time at industrial plants, refineries, and other locations, where they monitor or direct operations or solve onsite problems. Nearly all chemical engineers work full time. Understanding worker rights in the Philippines enables Chemical Engineers to work in accordance to applicable labor laws both for themselves and people working under them.

Why should college students be “on” LinkedIn? First and foremost: To get a job! And, it’s your job is to make it easy for your reader to hire you, and to do that, you need to tell them how you can do the work they need you to do, and that you have the characteristics of their ideal employee. Second: You’ll also grow your professional network and maintain a positive online presence that may help you in your future work or job search.

The interns attended a 2-hour webinar on worker rights and establishing a LinkedIn profile during the week. After their reflection, they attended an open forum breakout discussion with mentors to reflect on labor practices and how to leverage LinkedIn in preparing their professional profile online. After which they work on their profiles in LinkedIn.

Design of chemical engineering processes and plants requires the application of unit operations, chemical process principles, economic analysis, quality, safety and sustainability principles.

Chemical engineers apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.

In practical sense, plant design should comply with the industry good manufacturing practices and concerned regulatory authorities requirements; based on detailed consideration of product and process; having flexible space with a capability of expansion, that leads to cost effective construction with economic maintenance and energy.

After which they work on plant design case studies and prepares for their industrial project presentation coming up by Aug 6, 2022.
