๐ˆ๐ ๐๐‡๐Ž๐“๐Ž๐’ | In line with the continuing efforts to strengthen public service delivery and ensure compliance with existing transportation laws and regulations, LTO Pinamalayan District Office conducted a plate distribution activity through the house-to-house delivery of replacement license plates. The initiative aimed to expedite the release of long-awaited replacement plates while providing motorists with a more convenient, accessible, and client-centered service. Through this undertaking, the Office further reinforced its commitment to promoting roadworthiness compliance, enhancing operational efficiency, and strengthening public trust and confidence in government services.

Bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng Road Safety Month ngayong buwan ng Mayo, ang Land Transportation Office (LTO) MIMAROPA โ€“ Boac District Office at Torrijos Extension Office ay nagsagawa ng Culminating Activity ngayong Huwebes, 28 Mayo 2026, sa Torrijos Covered Court, Torrijos, Marinduque.

Tampok sa programa ang lecture na โ€œRoad Safety as a Public Concernโ€ mula sa Provincial DOH Office na kinatawanan nina Ms. Mary Asther S. Sadia, RN, at Ms. Apphia M. Monleon, RSW, na nagsagawa rin ng Hands-Only CPR lecture. Nagbigay rin ng mahahalagang paalala ang Torrijos Municipal Police Station, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Highway Patrol Group (HPG), at Philippine Information Agency (PIA) na kinatawan ni Mr. Dennis Nebrejo.

Dinaluhan din ang programa nina Vice Mayor Edmar Frias at Executive Assistant Joel Rey mula sa Office of the Mayor, na nagbigay ng mensahe ng pakikiisa at suporta para sa pagsusulong ng road safety. Ang mga kinatawan mula sa ibaโ€™t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan, pribadong sektor, tricycle at jeepney drivers, kasama ang Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) โ€“ Marinduque, ay nagsagawa ng Driverโ€™s Pledge at signing of commitment bilang pagpapakita ng sama-samang pagkilos tungo sa mas ligtas na kalsada.

Natapos ang programa sa pamamahagi ng token at t-shirt sa mga drivers at iba pang kinatawan bilang pagkilala sa kanilang mahusay at tapat na serbisyo. Katuwang ng LTO sa aktibidad na ito ang Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Marinduque sa pamumuno nina Gov. Melecio J. Go at Vice Governor Romulo A. Bacorro, Jr., gayundin ang Pamahalaang Lokal ng Torrijos sa pangunguna nina Mayor Joey P. Peรฑaflor at Vice Mayor Edmar F. Frias, bilang suporta sa mga programang pangkaligtasan sa lansangan.

Ang programang ito ay alinsunod sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., DOTr Acting Secretary Giovanni Z. Lopez at LTO Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao, na isulong ang mga programa na naglalayong itaas ang kamalayan sa road safety, pagbutihin ang edukasyon ng mga motorista, at palawakin ang pakikipagtulungan sa ibaโ€™t ibang ahensya para sa mas ligtas na kalsada para sa lahat.

In line with the continuing commitment of the Land Transportation Office to promote safer roads and responsible motorists, the LTO MIMAROPA Region, under the leadership of Acting Regional Director Francisco P. Ranches Jr., CESO VI, through the LTO Calapan District Office headed by Chief Merwyn C. Quitain, in partnership with the Highway Patrol Group (HPG), successfully conducted a Road Safety Awareness Seminar on May 21, 2026 at Sitio Villa Antonio, Barangay Navotas, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

The activity gathered fifty-eight (58) participants composed of tricycle drivers, motorcycle riders, youth, senior citizens, and barangay constituents, all united in supporting the advocacy for safer and more disciplined road use within the community.

Aligned with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to ensure that government services remain accessible, transparent, credible, and secure, and in support of the Department of Transportation (DOTr), headed by Acting Secretary Giovanni Z. Lopez, and the Land Transportation Office, led by Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao, the initiative reinforces ongoing efforts to elevate road safety awareness. The seminar highlighted key topics such as traffic laws and regulations, defensive driving techniques, and responsible road behavior, all aimed at reducing road incidents and fostering a stronger culture of discipline, safety, and accountability among motorists and pedestrians alike.

Personnel from the LTO Calapan District Office, together with Police Lieutenant Recaรฑa of the Highway Patrol Group, facilitated discussions on road safety awareness, proper driving conduct, and compliance with transportation laws and regulations. An interactive Question-and-Answer portion was likewise conducted to encourage active participation and deepen the participantsโ€™ appreciation of the importance of road discipline and safety consciousness.

As part of the initiative, Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials on road safety and traffic awareness were distributed to participants to reinforce the knowledge and practical learnings shared during the seminar.

One participant also expressed sincere appreciation for the activity, sharing that the seminar greatly enhanced her awareness of road safety and underscored the importance of responsible driving practices in protecting lives and ensuring safer communities for all.
