𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: Student Election 2026 screening of candidates will be held tomorrow, May 12, at 1:00 p.m. onwards at the MCC Audio - Visual Room.

‎The screening will serve as the official evaluation of aspirants for leadership positions under the University Student Government, College Student Governments, and the Future Farmers of the Philippines - Collegiate Chapter.
‎
Candidates are expected to present their qualifications and undergo assessment as part of the election process.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: FFPCC Financial Assistance Program will only accept applications until 5:00 p.m. today, May 8, according to the announcement released by the organization.

Applicants are advised to submit their accomplished forms and complete documentary requirements before the deadline to qualify for the evaluation process.

FFPCC also clarified that no applications will be entertained beyond the stated cutoff time. The financial assistance program aims to provide support to qualified beneficiaries under the organization’s initiative.

𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗦𝗨 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝟮𝟳𝟰 𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Mindoro State University (MinSU) improved its standing in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), rising from Rank 328 in 2025 to Rank 274 in 2026.

In the MIMAROPA Region, eight Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) were included in the WURI 2026 rankings, with six institutions recording improved placements compared to the previous year.

Among the ranked institutions in the region are MinSU, Romblon State University, Divine Word College of Calapan, Occidental Mindoro State College, Marinduque State University, Palawan State University, Western Philippines University, and Luna Goco Colleges, Inc.

MinSU also secured placements in several WURI innovation categories, including:

• Rank 15 – Interdisciplinary, Convergent, and Integrated Research
• Rank 22 – Industrial Application
• Rank 87 – University-Based Entrepreneurial Projects
• Rank 88 – Future-Oriented Responses to Global Uncertainty & Geopolitical Risk
• Rank 92 – Student Support and Engagement
• Rank 95 – Crisis Management
• Rank 100 – AI-Based Teaching and Learning Transformation

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) MIMAROPA congratulated the participating HEIs for their performance in the 2026 rankings, recognizing their contributions to innovation and quality higher education.

WURI is an international ranking system that evaluates universities based on innovative programs and their contributions to industry and society, emphasizing innovativeness, implementability, and impact across various categories.
