Definition: Ang bistay ay isang uri ng screen o sieve. Karaniwan itong gawa sa isang kahoy na kuwadro (wooden frame) na may nakapaku na wire mesh o interlink (yung may maliliit na butas). Ginagamit ito upang ihiwalay ang pino at malinis na buhangin mula sa mga bato, graba, o iba pang dumi.
