May 05, 2026 || During the Barangay Development Council (BDC) Meeting, one of the priority concerns raised by the PWD sector is the lack of accessibility in our Public Cemetery.

This concern is now part of the PWD sector’s development plan, which aims to establish a safe, convenient, and PWD-friendly pathway. The proposed project includes preventive measures such as proper concrete paving, installation of ramps and handrails, and ensuring a non-slip and well-maintained walkway to reduce risks and prevent accidents.

Once implemented, the project is expected to benefit Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), senior citizens, pregnant women, and the general public—providing them with safe, dignified, and equal access when visiting their departed loved ones.

We remain committed to advocating for inclusive programs and infrastructure that leave no one behind. ♿💙

| 1st Quarterly Meeting of CFPWD March 13, 2026

The Chapter President attended the 1st Quarterly Meeting of the Caraga Federation of Persons with Disability (CFPWD) held at the Caraga Municipal Gym, Caraga, Davao Oriental.

During the meeting, the officers and members discussed the plans and targets for the 2nd Quarter of 2026, focusing on strengthening programs and services for Persons With Disabilities in the Municipality.

Together, we continue to work for a more inclusive and empowered PWD community. ♿🤝

As 2025 comes to a close, the PWD Chapter President proudly celebrates a year of service, leadership, and community impact.

𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙋𝙒𝘿 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮

On December 16, the chapter distributed 5 kls of rice to all registered PWDs in Barangay Santiago through the Pamaskong Handog, made possible with the support of Local Government Unit of Caraga (LGU) tru Persons With Disability Affairs Office (PDAO).

𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙞𝙣 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣

On December 19, the chapter president attended the PWD Program Review, Evaluation and Christmas Party with 17 chapter presidents and PDAO Staff, strengthening collaboration and sharing insights to improve programs for PWDs.

𝙁𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙄𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 & 𝙅𝙤𝙮

On December 24, the chapter successfully organized the Pamaskong Handog and the Christmas Party for registered PWDs made possible with the support of Barangay government of Santiago, spreading holiday cheer and promoting community solidarity.

𝑳𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑨𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅

Through dedication, advocacy, and a heart for service, the chapter president has empowered PWDs, strengthened partnerships, and ensured that no member of the pwd community is left behind. Together, we continue to build an inclusive and supportive future for all PWDs in Santiago.

December 24, 2025 || Pamaskong Handog ng Barangay sa mga Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).

Dako ang among pasalamat sa Barangay Council ng Santiago ubos sa lig-on ug maayong liderato ni Punong Barangay Purificacion C. Ferol, pinaagi ni Barangay Kagawad Marie Josie Bantayan, Committee on Social Services, sa ilang padayon nga suporta sa sektor sa Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) sa Barangay Santiago.

Ang maong Pamaskong Handog usa ka klarong pamatuod nga ang barangay nagtan-aw sa mga PWD dili isip kahuyang, kundili isip importante ug bililhon nga kabahin sa komunidad. Nalipay ug natandog ang kasingkasing sa mga PWD nga makita nga adunay barangay nga nagpakita og tinuod nga pagtagad, pagrespeto, ug pagpakabana sa ilang kahimtang.

Kini nga inisyatiba naghatag og paglaum, kusog, ug kadasig sa mga PWD aron magpadayon sa ilang pakigbisog sa kinabuhi ug mahimong aktibong kabahin sa kalamboan sa barangay. Ang suporta gikan sa barangay dako kaayo og tabang sa pagpalig-on sa kumpiyansa ug dignidad sa matag PWD.

Sa ngalan sa komunidad sa mga Persons with Disabilities, daghang salamat sa inyong matinud-anon nga serbisyo ug sa inyong walay hunong nga pagpakabana. Padayon unta ang inyong mga programa nga naghatag og kahayag ug paglaum, ilabi na karong panahona sa Pasko. 🎄✨

📢 Announcement

The Local Government Unit of Caraga, through the Persons Disability Affairs Office (PDAO), will distribute rice assistance under the “Pamaskong Handog” program for all registered Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Barangay Santiago.

📅 Date: December 16, 2025
📍 Venue: Santiago Covered Court
⏰ Time: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM

All registered PWDs are encouraged to attend and claim their rice assistance. Please bring a PWD ID for verification.

This initiative is part of LGU Caraga’s effort through PDAO to support and celebrate the PWD community this Christmas season.
