𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐋𝐮𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐒𝐋𝐒𝐔 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐮𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐬 (𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂) 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐀𝐉 𝐉𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍 𝐒 𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐎𝐆 (𝐈𝐍𝐅) 𝐏𝐀, 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭.‎ The activity formally started with a flag-raising ceremony in active participation celebration of the 𝟏𝟐𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐲 𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐒𝐠𝐭 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐁 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐨, 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐞𝐬), 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐍𝐂𝐎/𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫, 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐯𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐲 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐏 𝐋𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐞𝐬), 𝐏𝐯𝐭 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐑 𝐃𝐞 𝐋𝐮𝐧𝐚 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐞𝐬), 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐯𝐭 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐞 𝐋 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐛𝐞𝐬 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐞𝐬) 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬, 𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐂/𝐋𝐓𝐂 𝐑𝐇𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐋 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐁𝐎 𝟏𝐂𝐋, 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝟑, together with ten (10) cadet officers, consisting of six (6) 1CL and four (4) 2CL members. This was followed by the checking of attendance supervised by 𝐂/𝐋𝐓𝐂 𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐌 𝐏𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐃, 𝟏𝐂𝐋 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝟏, to ensure that all cadets and cadettes were present and properly accounted for. ‎

‎Afterwards, 𝐌𝐒𝐠 𝐑𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐕 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐳, 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐞𝐬), 𝐓𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐂𝐎/𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫, delivered an informative lecture on Military Leadership. The lecture emphasized the importance of military leadership – it guides teams, protects our nation, and ensures missions succeed. All cadets gain knowledge, build character traits like honesty and loyalty, and learn practical skills. They were taught how to serve with honor and keep everyone safe.

‎‎This successful training day reflected the SLSU ROTC Unit’s unwavering commitment to nurturing well-disciplined, knowledgeable, and self-driven future leaders who are prepared to serve with honor and pride. ‎ ‎

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐋𝐮𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐒𝐋𝐒𝐔) 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐮𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐬 (𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂) 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 took part on the 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝟐𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐲 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 together with the 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐭, 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟒𝟎𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐃𝐂, 𝟒𝐑𝐂𝐃𝐆 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝 (𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐌) 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐲 (𝐏𝐀) 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐔𝐏 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐏 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥, 𝐁𝐫𝐠𝐲. 𝐒𝐭𝐚. 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐲, 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐳𝐨𝐧. This was participated by 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐅𝐂 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐂 𝐀𝐣𝐞𝐝𝐚 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐞𝐬), 𝐏𝐯𝐭 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐂 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐞 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐞𝐬), 𝐏𝐯𝐭 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨 𝐈 𝐁𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐬 𝐏𝐀 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐞𝐬), 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂/𝐋𝐓𝐂 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐍 𝐀 𝐃𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐃𝐀 𝟏𝐂𝐋, 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 together with Eighteen (18) basic cadets. This act of donating represents each cadet’s dedication to serving beyond the call of duty.

The 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐎𝐂𝐂 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 was also take place were 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧 (𝟏𝟑) 𝐂𝐎𝐂𝐂 𝐂𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐒𝐋𝐒𝐔- 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐮𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 participated, this was led by S𝐒𝐠𝐭 𝐑𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐃 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐬 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐞𝐬) 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐬𝐠 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐨 𝐌 𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨 (𝐈𝐧𝐟) 𝐏𝐀 who discussed the requirements for joining the 𝐂𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 (𝐂𝐎𝐂𝐂), particularly emphasizing the minimum height requirement for candidates and the benefits of joining the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

The SLSU-Catanauan ROTC Unit continuously develop a cadet who demonstrated their commitment to service and their duty to the people. Through this initiative, officers, cadets and volunteers came together not just to honor Army’s rich history, but also to support people in need of life-saving blood.
