This Women’s Month, we recognize the women, seen and unseen, who are reshaping the fight for our planet. Not tomorrow. Now.

From coastal villages to inland farms, from policy rooms to protest lines, women are doing the work. Not for visibility, but for survival. Not for praise, but for possibility.
So this month, don’t just celebrate them. Stand with them. Support their work. Share their stories. Join the effort, wherever you are, however you can.

Because when women lead, change does not ask for space. It takes root.

WHAT'S UP? || 🌱 NortEco conducted its first general assembly along with its official membership and volunteer registration. The event was hosted by Gerryl May G. Mangahas and started with the preliminaries, including the prayer led by Aljean Dolorzo, followed by the opening remarks of Hon. Marianne M. Saludario.

The future officers and committee members were then oriented and educated on the organizational structure, management, and the roles and responsibilities of being part of the organization with the help of the founder of NortEco, Mary Joe Danielle G. Chan.

Soon after the organizational orientation, the election proper began and was facilitated by Sir Renato “Tintin” Argenio, an adviser of the organization. After electing the new set of officers, Sir Zaldo Carias proceeded with the presentation of the calendar of activities. This was followed by the distribution and appointment of chairmanships for the existing committees.
An open forum then took place, and the program ended with the closing remarks of the newly elected President, Dexon Dula, and the words of gratitude from one of NortEco’s advisers, Sir Edwin Laureano.

An afternoon of education and learning, and a chance to know how to impact the environment in the smallest of ways, became a meaningful experience for the members of the organization.🌿

We hope to see you in more future NortEco activities as we work together toward a healthier, greener future.

Ikaw at ako, sa NortEco!

LOOK || NortEco Kicks Off 2026 with Community Clean-Up Drive

Welcoming 2026 with collective action, NortEco joined the Weekly Clean-Up Drive of Barangay Jose Abad Santos, Catarman, Northern Samar, on January 3, 2026, at 6:00 AM. The event brought together Barangay and SK officials, Barangay employees, JAS ACTS, JAS YERT, and residents who believe that change begins at the community level.

The clean-up focused on passable roads and the declogging of two canals in Purok 4. Other canals in different puroks will be the focus of NortEco's future activities.
This effort shows youth engagement beyond words—working hand in hand with the community to build cleaner, safer, and more climate-resilient spaces. 🌿
