I used to be this kind of person. Always available. Always ready to help. I thought being reliable meant always constantly available. But, I learned, so painfully, is that constant availability breeds a kind of quite disrespect. People start to expect it. They tend to not appreciate the effort because they assume it's always gonna be there.

Now, I learned that saying "No" is the kindest thing I can do for myself. And sometimes, for others too. Because, when you're not always there, when your time is precious, when you're presence is a choice, it becomes truly valuable.

In the end, it's not being hard to get. It's about being worth getting.
