ON THIS DAY, the 25th day of February 1986, the Filipino people have successfully ousted President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., in a triumphant means of a non-violent revolution and reinstating democracy back to the country. For two decades, the Marcos regime committed multiple atrocities against the Filipino people such as their ill-gotten wealth and human rights violations. This era is marked as the darkest times of Philippine history, and is one of the most well documented events of the century that is often tampered by multiple revisionists throughout the years.

Historical Revisionism still looms within our country, as a crisis. Multiple disinformation and fake news continues to spread throughout the nation to instill propaganda. The Commission on Career and Learning Extension, advocates to battle this problem by commemorating the anniversary of the People Power Revolution and to spread awareness on the full truth of the Martial Law.
