Various products of TMC-supported People’s Organizations were showcased and sold out during our Environment Month Culmination at the Lantaw Garden Bay Ecotourism Site 😍

Farm-fresh eggs, cassava chips, biko, cassava cake, coconuts, pineapples, handcrafted pot holders and door mats, camote bars, goat urine fertilizer, and carbonized rice hull were among the locally produced items warmly received by community and local government representatives, employees, contractors, and OJTs.

More than a product display, the activity celebrated sustainable livelihoods alongside our longstanding commitment of nurturing the environment.

Taganito Mining Corporation Celebrates Philippine Arbor Day 2026

In celebration of Philippine Arbor Day 2026, Taganito Mining Corporation (TMC) conducted a series of environmental activities highlighting its commitment to forest restoration and sustainable environmental stewardship. In the morning, TMC organized a tree-planting activity that gathered department representatives and contractor partners, resulting in the planting of 5,000 native tree seedlings in designated rehabilitation areas. On the same day, the company also donated fruit-bearing seedlings, including jackfruit, rambutan, and durian, to Claver Central Elementary School to support school greening efforts and promote environmental awareness among students and the local community.

In the afternoon, TMC received a Plaque of Recognition from PENRO Surigao del Norte in acknowledgment of the company's valuable contributions as a partner in the RIVERS for Life Program, Adopt NGP, and STCEP compliance activities. The recognition reflects TMC’s continuing dedication to environmental protection, reforestation initiatives, and collaborative partnerships with government agencies aimed at conserving natural resources and promoting sustainable development in Surigao del Norte.
