The 1950s and 1970s are pivotal periods in plastic production. The succeeding years were an unbridled rush that lead to the current state of humanity’s addiction to plastics.

This logo represents a call to stop (with urgency!) the downhill rush to the ecological crisis, which plastic pollution is a major contributor. The three circles are akin to the three colors in traffic lights we see in highways – red, yellow, and green.

The red circle is a bleeding turtle with a plastic straw in its nose attempts to draw attention to the suffering of marine life because of plastic pollution in the sea. The red color emphasizes the urgent call to STOP this - now!

The second circle is a figure of our planet in yellow color represents the fact that humanity needs to slow down, a call of CAUTION. Humans needs to know and teach each other that they are not the only animals in the planet who are in a rush to survive, they need to be made aware that other living creatures are being left behind – to die.

The third circle is a figure of a green octopus with other marine life thriving – as this should be humanity’s ultimate goal. We need to GO from this sunken state to a point where every creature is given an oppurtnity to coexist and flourish in their natural environment - unbridled.

And if as simple as refusing a plastic straw in our drinks is a way to start the serious discussion about plastic pollution and to involve more people, then this advocacy is very well worth it.
