This publication not only brings honor and pride to the BSED English program but also to the entire CTU-Consolacion Community and student body, as this is the first WOS publication by students in the history of the campus. Indeed, history has just been carved.

More importantly, this publication contributes to the scholarly discussion on the pivotal role of artificial intelligence in English Language Teaching.

𝐁𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐂𝐓𝐔 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐭 𝐋𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐂 2026 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐥𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐨

On April 23, 2026, at West Visayas State University in Iloilo City, BSED English students Mary Cristelle L. Cadenas, Rose Ann M. Gutang, and Khazey Jhare C. Ubod, together with Dr. Joemar T. Miñoza, presented their research paper at the ongoing 8th Linguistic Society of the Philippines International Conference (LSPIC). The event is still being held from April 23 to 25, 2026, with the theme Charting Future Proof Paths in Linguistics and Language Education.

The team shared their study titled "Interactive Speaking Drills for Enhancing English Fluency Among Senior High School Students: A mixed method." Their paper focused on helping senior high school students improve their English speaking skills through interactive drills. The study also looked at how these drills can help learners become more confident in speaking.

By presenting their paper, the group showed the role of student research in the field of language education. Their work added to the talks about classroom practice, oral communication, and English fluency. It also highlighted the effort of young researchers who are already contributing to academic discussions.

The conference brought together linguists, educators, students, and researchers from different places. It served as a venue for sharing ideas and learning from each other. For the BSED English students, the event was also a chance to represent CTU Consolacion in a major international conference. Their participation gave recognition not only to their research but also to the school.
