CLASS SUSPENSION ADVISORY

Face-to-face classes at all levels in public and private schools are suspended on Thursday, September 25, 2025 and schools shall shift to modular distance learning.

On Friday, September 26, 2025, classes will be suspended at all levels in both public and private schools.

The suspension was agreed upon during the MDRRM Council emergency meeting on Wednesday, September 24, presided over by Mayor Gilbert Arrabis Jr., as a precautionary measure in anticipation of Tropical Cyclone Opong, which is expected to impact the northernmost part of Cebu starting Thursday morning, September 25.

This measure aims to ensure the safety and well-being of all students, faculty, and school personnel.

Earlier today, I witnessed something truly heartwarming, a BFP officer gently helping a young girl cross the street. It may seem like a small act, but it carries a big message. Our men and women in uniform are not only protectors of Safety and order, but also everyday heroes who go out of their way to serve with compassion and kindness. In moments like these, we are reminded that we can always count on them, not just in times of crisis, but even in the simple gestures that make our communities safer and more humane.
