Today, we celebrate Earth Day, a reminder that the power to protect our planet lies in our hands. Every small action—saving energy, reducing waste, recycling, and caring for our surroundings creates a big impact for a greener and healthier Earth.

As a library, we encourage everyone to turn knowledge into action. Let’s continue learning about sustainable practices, protecting our natural resources, and inspiring others to do the same. Together, we can make a difference—because our power shapes our planet.

𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪?

World Creativity and Innovation Day is celebrated on 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟭 and is dedicated to the importance of creativity, innovation and innovative thinking in achieving sustainable development. The day was established by the UN in 2017 to raise awareness of the importance of creativity and innovation for the economy, society and culture.

It also encourages everyone to think creatively in solving everyday and global challenges. From science and technology to art and community projects, innovation plays a big role in improving people’s lives, supporting progress, and inspiring positive change. More importantly, it highlights how creative solutions can help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as reducing poverty, providing quality education and healthcare, and protecting our environment.

𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙?
This day is celebrated in simple but meaningful ways. Schools, libraries, and communities organize activities like art displays, storytelling, workshops, and small events where people can share ideas and talents. It’s a chance for everyone to express themselves, try something new, and be inspired. Most of all, it’s a reminder that even small creative ideas can make a difference in our community.
