A quiet murmur of excitement rippled through the crowd.

Neo’s expression hardened slightly.

“Now, allow me to explain the procedures of this year’s enrollment.”

He descended slowly to the ground, the folds of his robe swaying gently with the breeze. A silver-masked official approached him, holding a spherical object that pulsed with a soft, otherworldly glow—the same kind of glow I remembered seeing during the first trials of past years.

“The enrollment will be conducted in two phases,” Neo continued, giving way to the official. “The first—an elemental test to assess your innate control and strength. The second,” he paused, gesturing toward the sphere. “will measure the level of your energy. In simpler terms—it will reveal your rank.”

The object hovered in front of him, suspended by invisible force, while the official quietly pulled out a holder from their interspatial ring.

Neo nodded to the crowd.

“We begin now with Phase One—the Elemental Power Test.”
