Reposting our first post of the year.

Yes, we weigh your items but our rates are not per kilo. Our rates are per load and dependent on several considerations, a couple being:

1. How much does your total laundry weigh?

2. What are your items? Are they just regular and assorted clothes? Are they jeans, towels, sofa or bed covers that are made with thick materials? Are they fleece blankets? Delicate items? Comforters with filling or foam?

And so on and so forth.

If they are regular clothes like cotton shirts, shorts, slacks, a pair or two of jeans, and even thin, cotton blankets and they weigh a total of less than 8 kg, then our rate will be Php 175 (with fold and inclusive of liquid detergent, fabcon, and plastic bag).

However, if the majority of your items are sofa or bed covers, jeans, denim jackets, towels, curtains, and/or with large bedsheets, then we will have to move your laundry to our bigger machine which can handle a load of up to 12 kg. The rate for this will be Php 290 inclusive of fold, liquid detergent, fabcon, and plastic bag.

You see, when these thick items get wet, they may be too heavy for our regular machine and overload it. Or if they are too big or too many, they may not move around in the regular machine properly and they will not get cleaned or worse, damage the machine. Neither of these we want to happen.

This is why it is important that you leave us your number so that we can contact you regarding your laundry.

In a gist:

* If regular and assorted clothes with just a couple of thick items like a pair or two of jeans, maximum is 8 kg/load and 12 kg/load.
* If mostly or all thick items, maximum will change to 4 kg/load and 8 kg/load.
* If multiple thick or large items, they will go into our large machine
* If mixture of thin, thick, small, and large items, that will depend upon actual assessment of the items.

Another aspect we would like to reiterate in this post: be respectful when you are in Mabini X.

Our first store rule is:

Please be respectful of everyone and everything in and around Mabini X Laba-Lounge. Management reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone, especially those who may disturb or harm other customers, the staff, the machines, or the laundry cafe as a whole.

Mabini X was borne out of the need for peace and good, relaxing vibes to do our chores in, so let's keep it that way and park the negative, aggressive vibes outside. Have a cup of coffee, let the machines (or us) do your laundry, and relax.
