"Crucify Him"

In todays Gospel it emphasized on the line of the Jews that brought Jesus to the cross. These are the same words we say, not only for Jesus' to be punished but for us, as we live everyday.

Many thought that Jesus was crucified because of Judas' threachery, Pilate's apathy, or just the fulfillment of God's divine salvation. After all, it was all of us sinners all the ways.

In our day to day dealings, we ofted to decide. This decision making can be related to whether to "cruficy him" or not. Him could be us, not merely Jesus. It is because us will benefit or suffer the result. This decision is influence by our thoughts feelings and actions. It is a decision for ourself alone.

Going back with the biblical history, it was the people who chose Barabas over Jesus. Barabas who represented the saved sinner, just like us. We always choose Barabas until now as we always choose ourselves. We don't want to Choose Jesus (represents the good deeds). Being good is bad for us. Being bad is good for us. We can't earn anything from it. That is why we always choose Barabas. The actions we do is just for our self's pleasure, not for everyones sake. Say for example, you enrolled for masters because it is for your sake. You work abroad it is for your sake. You woke up early not to be late, just for your sake. Therefore, we always choose Barabas.

The turning point of this choosing game is the line "crucify him". We suffer crucificion because we choose Barabas. We tirely do things, crucifying ourself for bosses to be impressed and for others to look up on us. We are definitely crucifying ourselves.

Can we live without choosing to be crucified? Can we live by choosing Jesus to be spared? Can we choose Godly works like doing things for others just like Jesus did; healing the sick during rest days, encouraging the poor to keep going, and dying to save people from the bonds of sin. In reality, we cannot. We will always choose Barabas, we will always cry out "Crucify Him".
