The Department of Arts and Sciences proudly congratulates the 4Cs Production Team for their remarkable achievement at the 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐖𝐚 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐦 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 held last December 4-6, 2025 at C.P Garcia Highway, Buhangin,Davao City.

The three-day festival, hosted by Lyceum of the Philippines - Davao, celebrated the talent of young filmmakers across the region. We are proud that our KaDASig showcased not only their skills but also their heart, contributing to a vibrant culture of collaboration and artistic expression.

Their debut film, "𝐎𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐖𝐞" stood out among 25 exceptional entries, earning well-deserved nominations for 𝘽𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝘾𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙮 and 𝘽𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙢. This milestone reflects your creativity, teamwork, and passion for storytelling qualities that truly embody the spirit of our KaDASig community.

To the entire 4Cs Production Team, your hardwork, dedication, and commitment to excellence continue to inspire to the KaDASig family. May this be just the beginning of many more successes in your filmmaking journey.

𝐉𝐀𝐏𝐒 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 | Gift-Giving at the Southern Philippines Medical Center – Institute of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry

The Department of Arts and Sciences extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Junior Association of Psychology Students (J**S) for living out their shared mission of service and mental health advocacy.

On November 17 and 24, J**s members visited the Southern Philippines Medical Center – Institute of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry to deliver essential items for the individuals under the facility’s care. During their visit, they were introduced to the various departments and given a tour of the institution, an experience that strengthened their understanding of their role and purpose as future psychology practitioners.

Our sincere thanks to the organization’s officers, advisers, sponsors, and to SPMC–IBPM for making this outreach initiative possible.

This meaningful effort reminds us that compassion, service, and genuine human connection lie at the very heart of psychology, and that even the smallest acts of kindness can leave a lasting impact on someone’s life.

The Department of Arts and Sciences proudly congratulates the 3rd Year BA Political Science students of the Political Science Students League (PSSL) for the successful conduct of their Educational Visitation and Seminar at the Consulate General of Malaysia in Davao City, held in line with POS 314 – Diplomatic and Consular Practice led by Ms. Riveal S. Cawayan. 🇲🇾🇵🇭

During the visit, the 3rd year PolSci students gained invaluable insights into the long-standing bilateral relationship between Malaysia and the Philippines—a partnership strengthened by shared history, dynamic economic ties, trade cooperation, and cultural affinity.
The Consulate also shed light on Malaysia’s diplomatic perspectives regarding key international issues such as the West Philippine Sea, global tensions, and the responsibilities and lived experiences of diplomatic agents representing Malaysia abroad. Their candid explanations emphasized the importance of diplomacy, mutual respect, and maintaining regional stability in Southeast Asia.

One of the message from the Consul General especially resonated with the students, a powerful reminder of what it truly means to serve the public:
“Civil servants prioritize duty, honor, and integrity. If you want to be a millionaire, be a businessman; don’t be a civil servant.”

In addition, their warmest appreciation goes to their adviser, Ms. Riveal S. Cawayan, for her initiative, support, and unwavering commitment to providing meaningful academic opportunities for her students.

They extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Consulate General of Malaysia, Davao City, and to their esteemed Consul General, Mr. Deddy Faisal Ahmad Salleh, for the warm welcome and the insightful discussions shared with our future diplomats. Thank you for the time, generosity, and diplomatic wisdom imparted to our PolSci community.
