Isinagawa ngayong ika-10 ng Setyembre ang unang araw ng Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Training Course na pinangunahan ng MDRRMO Dinalupihan sa pangangasiwa ni MDRRMO Head Catherine Montemayor, katuwang ang mga resource speakers na sina Mr. Cesar Carlos - Apalit MDRRMO, Mr. Glenly Monje - Hermosa MDRMMO, Mr. Sherwin Rosales- Tarlac PDRRMO, Ms. Liezel Cayanan - OCD III, at Mr. Gerry Calimoso - OCD III.

Layon nitong makapagbigay ng sapat na kaalaman at kasanayan sa mga kalahok upang maunawaan ang konsepto, mandato, at papel ng EOC sa DRRM system. Gayundin ang tamang pamamaraan sa operasyon, pagpaplano, organisasyon ng EOC, at ang mga kinakailangang pasilidad para sa pagtatatag nito. Nilalayon din nitong mapalakas ang kakayahan sa komunikasyon at pamamahala ng impormasyon, pati na ang kahandaan at tamang pagpapatakbo ng EOC sa pamamagitan ng mga functional exercise.

Kaya ngayong araw, tinalakay dito ang Course Overview, Introduction to EOC, EOC Operations, at EOC Staffing and Organization, na nagbigay ng mas malinaw na pag-unawa sa tamang pagpapatakbo ng Emergency Operations Center para sa mas mabilis at epektibong pagtugon sa sakuna at emerhensya.
