𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟎𝟑.𝟏𝟓.𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 The Local Youth Development Office, in collaboration with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office – Emergency Response Team, conducted a 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 as part of the municipality's continuing initiatives under the leadership of our 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫, 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐉𝐨𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐄𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢 𝐒. 𝐆𝐨 𝐒𝐲 to strengthen youth participation in community development.

The activity gathered the candidates of the 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐧𝐢 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 together with representatives from the 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 (𝐋𝐘𝐃𝐂), 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚 𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐚 𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦𝐨 – 𝐃𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐬 (𝐊𝐊𝐃𝐀𝐓), and 𝐀𝐧𝐢 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 (𝐀𝐘𝐅𝐏𝐀). Participants engaged in learning sessions and practical exercises focused on emergency response and the important roles of youth in promoting community preparedness.

To conclude the activity, a 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 was conducted where participants applied the knowledge and skills they learned throughout the day. The challenge highlighted teamwork, quick decision-making, leadership, resourcefulness, communication, and the value of cooperation in responding to emergency situations.

March 19, 2026 (Thursday) has been officially declared a Special (Non-Working) Day in the Municipality of Dingras in celebration of the Ani Festival.

Issued through Proclamation No. 1191 by the authority of Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. from Malacañang Palace, giving the people of Dingras the opportunity to fully participate in and enjoy the festivities. 🌾✨

Dingras, Ilocos Norte - The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Ilocos Norte, led by SK Federated President Hon. Eldritze C. Viernes, conducted its 19th kitS4Kids Community Outreach in Brgy. Parado, Dingras, Ilocos Norte, continuing its commitment to support young learners in communities across the province.

During the outreach activity, 50 pupils from Barangays Root, Parado, and Guerrero received educational kits from SK Ilocos Norte to assist them in their schooling and encourage them to pursue their studies. Meanwhile, 50 parents were also provided with food packs from the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte (PGIN) through the support of Governor Cecilia Araneta-Marcos.

The activity was conducted in partnership with the SK Pederasyon ng Dingras, led by Hon. Xandrine Cudapas, with the assistance of the Local Youth Development Office through Local Youth Development Officer Ms. Margarita Aquino.

The kitS4Kids program remains one of the flagship outreach initiatives of SK Ilocos Norte, designed to extend assistance to young learners and their families while promoting the importance of education in communities across the province.

Through continued collaboration with local government units, youth leaders, and partners, SK Ilocos Norte reaffirms its commitment to empowering the youth and uplifting the lives of young Ilocanos.

#𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞

Laoag City, Ilocos Norte - Provincial, city, and municipal Local Youth Development Officers (LYDOs) gathered for their 1st Quarter LYDO Meeting on March 6, 2026, at the Provincial Auditorium, Ilocos Norte Capitol, Laoag City.

Organized by the Ilocos Norte Youth Development Office (INYDO), the meeting brought together Local Youth Development Officers from across the province to discuss updates, initiatives, and key programs aimed at strengthening youth development efforts in their respective local government units.

Among the key agenda discussed was the continuation of the formalization of the Association of Youth Development Offices of Ilocos Norte, which aims to further strengthen coordination and collaboration among youth development offices in the province. The meeting also included discussions on the development of an Online Youth Database Archive, as well as updates on the 2026 Monitoring and Evaluation for Fiscal Year 2026.

Preparations for the 2026 Sangguniang Kabataan Elections were also highlighted, particularly the upcoming Sangguniang Kabataan Mandatory Training, which plays an essential role in preparing newly elected youth leaders for effective governance.

Other matters discussed included the accreditation status of Local Youth Development Officers, the proposed creation of an LYDO Manual, the Review and Examination Assistance Program Mapping, the Youth Volunteer Desk Program, and the promotion of the BAGANI Program of the Development Academy of the Philippines.

The meeting also served as a consultative platform where Local Youth Development Officers were able to raise concerns, share insights, and discuss challenges encountered in implementing youth development programs in their respective communities.

Through continued dialogue and collaboration, the Ilocos Norte Youth Development Office remains committed to strengthening youth development mechanisms and supporting local initiatives that empower the Ilocano youth.

𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐎𝐖 | Student leaders from all secondary schools in the municipality are participating in the SHAPE (Sexually Healthy and Personally Empowered) Training for Adolescents. This initiative is led by PGIN Gender and Development and Population Office, in collaboration with the Commission on Population and Development Region 1.

𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 | Starting today, all tournament games will be held at the Civic Center until further notice. This adjustment is due to the equally important use of the Farmers’ Plaza at this time.
