𝑻𝒐𝒑 1 𝑼𝒈𝒂𝒅 𝑯𝑺 𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒖𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒆𝒔 𝑳𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒄𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑬𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆

Joshua Usares Binalay, Top 1 graduate of Ugad High School's Class of 2026, was officially named a qualifier of the prestigious 2026 Department of Science and Technology–Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) Undergraduate Scholarship Program following the release of examination results on May 30, 2026.

The achievement marks another significant milestone in Binalay's academic journey and further highlights his outstanding record as a scholar, leader, and student journalist. The DOST-SEI Scholarship is one of the country's most competitive scholarship programs, recognizing students who demonstrate exceptional academic potential and commitment to nation-building through science, technology, and innovation.

Beyond his academic excellence, Binalay has also distinguished himself in the field of journalism and public speaking. He currently serves as the President and Creative Director of The Informants, the official school publication media of Ugad High School, where he has led various initiatives in campus journalism and information dissemination.

Adding to his growing list of accomplishments, Binalay recently emerged as Champion in the prestigious PALAISIPAN 2026 National Competition in Dagliang Talumpati, showcasing his exceptional communication skills, critical thinking, and mastery of the Filipino language on the national stage.

He also successfully passed the Isabela State University–Echague College Admission Test (ISU-E CAT) and secured admission to the university's Bachelor of Science in Accountancy program.

Binalay's achievements continue to bring pride and honor to the Ugad High School community, serving as an inspiration to fellow learners to pursue excellence in academics, leadership, and service.
