The 246th Naval ROTC Unit β Adamson University proudly took part in the ROTC Cultural Understanding and Leadership Program (CULP) 2026, conducted in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, from 23β27 April 2026.
Representing the Unit, CDT/LTCOL KEN ZHU A ESPINAS O-1CL (Corps Plans and Programs, S5) carried the banner of Adamson University, standing among selected cadets from across Luzon to embody the competence, discipline, and excellence of the 246th NROTCU on an international stage.
In partnership with the University of Hawaii ROTC, the program immersed delegates in high-level leadership exercises, including visits to the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu and the University of Hawaii DMST Office. The itinerary further featured cultural exchanges and a rigorous Field Training Exercise (FTX) at the U.S. Marine Corps Training Area Bellows in Waimanalo, Hawaii. This international exposure reinforces the Unit's commitment to developing world-class, values-driven leaders capable of excelling in both local and global settings.
The Unit remains honored to represent Adamson University, Luzon, and the 246th NROTCU in this significant international engagement, continuously striving to Raise the Bar of Excellence.

The 246th Naval ROTC Unit β Adamson University proudly rendered the Entrance of Colors during Nova Magnifica: Constellation of Finance and Vision: The 9th Junior Financial Executives Summit, held at the Adamson University Theater on 06 May 2026.
With the theme "Unlocking Potential. Mastering Finance." Nova Magnifica serves as a platform for growth, innovation, and leadership, inspiring participants to rise, connect, and lead with purpose in today's evolving financial landscape.

The 246th Naval ROTC Unit β Adamson University conducted its 13th Training Day at the Adamson University JP Grounds on 02 May 2026.
The training focused on refreshing drills in preparation for the Presentation of Sponsors, and Ceremonial Parade and Review. Following this, the unit conducted dry firing and pre-rappelling activities in preparation for the camp visit, enhancing the cadets' confidence, safety awareness, and field readiness.
The day's activities reflect the unit's continuous effort to hone cadets into more capable and well-prepared individuals as they continue to Raise the Bar of Excellence.

From his foundational years at Adamson University to his commanding presence in the Philippine Navy, the career of CAPT RENANTE H DEL PRADO PN(GSC) has been defined by exceptional leadership and a steadfast commitment to maritime security.
His journey began within the halls of Adamson, where he honed his leadership skills as the 246th NROTCU as Vice Corps Commander of "Orcinus Orca" CL-1997. This early experience as a Cadet Officer served as the bedrock for a distinguished military career marked by significant responsibilities at sea and ashore.
CAPT DEL PRADO's professional trajectory is distinguished by his tenures commanding the Navyβs vital assets. He took the helm as the Commanding Officer of the BRP Apolinario Mabini (PS-36) in October 2023, followed by his leadership of the BRP Andres Bonifacio (PS-17) since August 2024. His consistent excellence led to his promotion from Commander to Captain in January 2025, a rank that underscores his expertise and dedication.
Most recently, he served as the Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations (NR3) at the Naval Reserve Command from August 2025 to April 2026. We honor this outstanding alumnus whose maritime leadership and decades of service continue to uphold the finest traditions of the Philippine Navy.
