JL Raynes is wearing a piece from my modern collection inspired by the “Vinta” of Zamboanga, a traditional sailboat known for its vibrant and colorful sails. The design reflects the rich culture and maritime heritage of the Sama-Bajau and Tausug people of Mindanao. The patterns and colors incorporated into the garment symbolize unity, movement, and the diversity of Filipino traditions.

Jerwin Medina Baraquiel is wearing my modern barong inspired by “MAG-IINOM,” which represents the four fathers illustrated at the back of the barong. These fathers symbolize hardworking men who, after a long day of labor, come together to celebrate their accomplishments. 🍾

The ray of sunlight symbolizes their wives reminding us that even if the night of drinking lasts until morning, there is still a light at home watching over them and patiently waiting. It represents the love, care, and support of the family that remains constant no matter how late they come home.
