I am not a perfect dad. My wife is not a perfect mom.
Hindi ito pagtuturo kung paano maging magulang. But something made me think.
Madalas kong marinig: “Mahina na ang generation ngayon.”
Pero napaisip ako…
Sino ba ang nagpalaki sa generation na ‘yan?
Kung sinasabi nating mahina sila,
anong generation ba ang nag-mold sa kanila?
Is it them… or us?
From the moment our kids start learning about the world—TV shows, music, toys—our generation slowly replaced personal touch, guidance, and emotional connection with mobile phones.
We let phones entertain them.
We let phones comfort them.
We let phones talk to them.
Unti-unti, ang cellphone na ang nagiging magulang.
And what do we become?
Just the people who conceived them, gave birth to them, and work to feed them.
We let them stay in their rooms for hours…
quiet… because they’re busy with their phones.
Then later we complain:
“Mga bata ngayon, di na mautusan.”
“Mga bata ngayon, mahina.”
“Kaka-cellphone mo ‘yan!”
But let me ask this honestly…
Sino ba ang nagbigay ng cellphone?
Sino ba ang naghayaan na iyon ang maging mundo nila?
We blame the kids,
but sometimes we refuse to take accountability as parents.
Yes, hindi lang tayo ang nakakaimpluwensya sa kanila.
There are teachers, classmates, and people around them who also shape their minds.
But when they get home…
that is our moment.
Talk to them.
Listen to them.
Spend time with them.
Teach them.
Pray together, eat together.
Yakapin nyo mga anako nyo.
Assure them that no matter what, you will always be there for them.
Because at the end of the day…
If this generation is weak,
we cannot blame the children we raised.
We must first look at the generation that raised them — ours.
And to the kids of today:
Stay strong. Fight the lonely thoughts. Play with your friends. Don’t be afraid to ask for help from people you trust.
Love your parents. Build a positive relationship with God. Go to church every Sunday and pray.
Let the Book of Life guide you—read the Bible.
Listen to the adults who want the best for you and who will influence you in a positive way.
Pamilya muna, pamilya ang mauna, pamilya ang improtante, pamilya hanggang huli, kahit anong mangyari.

The hardest part of fame isn't getting it—it's learning how to live without it.
Choosing—or being forced—to live an ordinary life after being a superstar is a massive psychological mountain to climb. It’s not just an adjustment; it’s a total identity crisis.
It’s not always the empty pockets that hurt; it’s the silence that follows the applause, especially when you feel like your "time" ended way too soon. 🎤🔇
