💛 CAREGIVER CHECK-IN 💛
Sometimes, the hardest part isn't the therapy sessions, appointments, paperwork, or daily routines.
Sometimes, it's watching other children.
You see a child reading independently.
A child who easily joins conversations.
A child who seems to learn things more quickly.
And before you know it, your mind starts asking:
"Why is that easier for them?"
"Are we doing enough?"
"Will my child get there too?"
These thoughts are more common than many caregivers realize.
But comparison can make us overlook something important: growth.
When we focus only on where another child is, we can miss how far our own child has come.
Progress doesn't always look like a major milestone.
Sometimes progress looks like:
✨ trying again after becoming frustrated
✨ asking for help instead of giving up
✨ following directions with fewer reminders
✨ joining a group activity for a few minutes longer
✨ feeling more confident in new situations
These moments matter.
These are the small steps that build bigger skills over time.
Every child develops at their own pace, with their own strengths, challenges, and path forward.
This week, try shifting the question from:
"Why isn't my child there yet?"
to
"What can my child do today that was difficult a year ago?"
You may be surprised by how much growth you'll find when you look back instead of looking sideways. 💚
One step.
One skill.
One victory at a time.

💛 First week of school feelings are real—for children and parents alike.
New classrooms, new teachers, new routines, and lots of unknowns.
For some children, especially our neurodivergent learners, transitions may take a little longer. New environments, sensory experiences, expectations, and social situations can feel overwhelming at first—and that’s okay.
Adjustment is not a race.
This week, celebrate the small wins:
🌱 Walking into school
🌱 Trying something new
🌱 Staying a little longer
🌱 Recovering from a difficult moment
Progress doesn’t always look like perfection. Sometimes it looks like courage, persistence, and showing up one more day.
Take a deep breath, trust the process, and remember: your child doesn’t need to have a perfect first week. They just need support, patience, and love. 💚
We’re cheering for all our families this school year.
