To all parents… say “very good” to your kids. Often. 🤍

Big things. Small things. Even the little chores they do without being asked.

My son cried out of nowhere today, and when I asked him why, he said…
“Because Nanay… you don’t say very good to me anymore when I do good or when I finish a chore.”

That hit me hard.

I realized I’ve been so busy working and providing that I forgot to say the words I used to say so often. I still notice. I still appreciate every little thing he does… I just haven’t been showing it the same way anymore.

I work from home, but lately my mind has been so focused on deadlines, bills, and making sure everything is okay… that I forgot how much simple words of appreciation mean to a child.

And sometimes all they need is:

“Very good.”
“Thank you.”
“I saw that.”
“I’m proud of you.”

A few words that may feel small to us…
but mean everything to them.

A reminder to myself today—and maybe to another parent who needs it too. 🤍
