In complete denture practical review, we encourage reviewees to use the Semi-Adjustable Articulator as this will have additional points. We also teach reviewees how to balance the occlusion as this was indicated in the new guidelines set by the PRC-Board of Dentistry.

This is how to do surveying. What do you think is the purpose of surveying your cast????
We do surveying to determine the contour of the abutment tooth and to identify where to place the retentive and reciprocating arms as well as determining the path of insertion. Knowing the rationale of what youre doing gives you additional knowledge, making your reviewing easier.
NOTE: The cast holder is on a parallel angulation to the horizontal plane and not tilted because this is a preformed cast and not a live patient cast.
