₱204K worth of suspected shabu seized in a drug bust operation in the Lapuz district

In a relentless operation against illegal drugs, the City Drug Enforcement Unit of Iloilo City Police Office seized ₱204,000 worth of suspected shabu in Barangay Jalandoni Estate, Lapuz, Iloilo City, on June 18. The subject, identified as Adjen Pabon, 27 years old, was caught in the act of selling a plastic bag of illegal drugs worth ₱7,000. Upon frisking the subject, the police recovered another 13 plastic bags of drugs from his wallet. Pabon is now detained in the Lapaz PNP.

Moments Before a Murder Captured on CCTV

Bacolod City – Closed circuit television footage from DNX shows the final moments of Nicus Balagosa, 21, who was shot to death last night at his home in Granada Heights while playing billiards. The video, over two minutes long, shows a red sedan arriving at 7 pm. Two men, one wearing a red cap, exited the vehicle and chased Balagosa to his room, where he locked himself in. One of the attackers kicked the door open and shot Balagosa four times. He was dead when responders arrived.

Station 5 chief, Captain Portia Nillosan, informed The Ink that the car had passed the victim's house once before the attack. Balagosa was shot in both legs and the chest.
